Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Boonyuen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, Thailand. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Applied Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry from Mahidol University, Thailand, and earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, in 2005. He joined the Faculty of Science and Technology at Thammasat University and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018. Supakorn research interests encompass inorganic and organometallic chemistry, analytical chemistry, advanced functional materials, photocatalysis, nanomaterials, environmental remediation, biomass and biodiesel, green chemistry, and small-scale chemistry. His recent research has focused particularly on the development of functional materials and photocatalysts for environmental applications, including pollutant degradation, wastewater treatment, antimicrobial materials, electrochemical sensing, and sustainable catalytic processes.
Dr. Boonyuen has established extensive national and international collaborations and has published widely in international journals. His recent publications cover advanced photocatalytic materials, mesoporous materials, graphene- and biochar-based systems, environmental sensors, sustainable catalysts, and chemistry education. His work has appeared in journals including Inorganic Chemistry Communications, ACS Omega, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Environmental Research, and Analytical Sciences. In addition to his research, Dr. Boonyuen has made significant contributions to chemistry education and professional chemical societies. He is a member of the Chemical Society of Thailand (CST) and has been actively involved in its small-scale chemistry activities. He represented CST in the bid to host an international chemistry education conference during the 2017 IUPAC World Chemistry Congress and General Assembly in Brazil. He has also served as a speaker and resource person for small-scale chemistry workshops in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Indonesia, and served as General Secretariat of the 27th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education (ICCE 2024) held in Pattaya, Thailand. He has also contributed to the activities of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS), promoting regional collaboration in chemistry and chemistry education across Asia. His professional activities reflect a continuing commitment to strengthening international networks among chemists, educators, and scientific organizations.
His contributions to chemistry and education have been recognized through several honors, including the CST Award for Distinguished Contribution to Chemical Education from the Chemical Society of Thailand in 2020, the Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha (CRS) Silver Award in India in 2024, and recognition from Dow Thailand in 2024 for ten years of unwavering support and invaluable contribution to the Dow Chemistry Classroom project. Earlier in his academic career, he also received competitive scholarships from the Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project (DPST), the Postgraduate Education and Research Program in Chemistry (PERCH), and the Royal Thai Government. Through his research, chemistry education initiatives, professional-society activities, and international collaborations, Dr. Boonyuen continues to contribute to the advancement of sustainable chemistry, environmental materials, and chemistry education in Thailand and across the Asian region.

Dr. Achyut Adhikari is an Associate Professor at the Central Department of Chemistry, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. With over 20 years of research experience, he has made significant contributions to the fields of natural products, nanotechnology, and bio-organic chemistry. He has published more than 200 international research papers, four patents, one book, and six book chapters. His work has been cited over 4700 times, earning him an h-index of 34.
Dr. Adhikari has an extensive mentoring record, having supervised two Ph. D., four M.Phil., and over fifty M.Sc. students, in addition to co-supervising six Ph. D. candidates. His research leadership has also extended to more than ten funded projects, with two ongoing projects under his direction.
In recognition of his scientific achievements, he received the Atta-ur-Rahman Award (2019) from the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the Young Scientist Award from the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). He currently serves as the General Secretary of the Nepal Chemical Society and as Science Director of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS). He has also contributed at the policy level, serving as a member of the Advisory Committee for Biotechnology at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Education, Nepal (2019–2022), and as a member of the Research Committee on Ayurveda and Phytochemistry at the National Health Research Council (NHRC), Nepal. He is also a founding member of the Young Scientist Forum of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
Beyond these roles, Dr. Adhikari has been actively engaged in academic publishing. He is an Editorial Board Member of Anticancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry (Bentham Science) and previously served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Nepal Chemical Society (2021–2023). His international collaborations include appointments as a visiting professor/scientist in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, and India.

Dr. Dien Pandiman was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Ministry of Education of Indonesia funded by the World Bank to pursue his undergraduate study in England, UK, in 1987. After graduation, he worked as a lecturer teaching Chemistry (Science) at the Unsyiah Polytechnic, Indonesia, for 3 years. Then he pursued further his postgraduate study in England (1993), and obtained his Master of Science Degree in Analytical Chemistry with Distinction at the University of Huddersfield. Subsequently in 1997, Dr. Pandiman completed his Doctorate Degree in “High Temperature Polyimides” with the support from the British Government Research Fund.
Dr. Pandiman is currently the Executive Director – Chief Innovation Officer of Pidilite Innovation Centre Pte. Ltd. and is responsible for the global applied research and product innovations of surface coatings and construction chemicals for Pidilite Group of Companies. He has more than 25 years-experience in these fields and his research interests are in the future and emerging applications of nanomaterials in surface coatings and construction chemicals. He has developed many innovative products and successfully commercialized in the global markets. Prior to joining Pidilite Group, he worked for the independent testing laboratory and building and construction and consultancy company. Setsco Service Pte. Ltd, as its Chief Analytical Chemist and Consultant. Then he co-founded Chemson Asia Pte. Ltd. in 2002 which was acquired by Pidilite Industries Ltd. in 2005.
As the Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) UK, Dr. D. Pandiman was the elected Chairman of the RSC Singapore Section in 2008, and was the Vice-President of Singapore National Institute of Chemistry. He was elected and served as the Secretary-General of Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) for the period 2013-2015, currently serving as Executive Committee (EXCO) Member of FACS from 2019-2027.
He is a Member of SPRING Singapore’s Technical Committee for Surface Coatings, and is also a Technical Assessor, under the Singapore Accreditation Council-Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS) for technical audits at various independent laboratories in Singapore.
He is appointed as Member for Singapore IPI (IP Intermediary) Industry Advisory Panel for providing advices and inputs to IPI for Research, Innovation, and Enterprise 2020 (RIE Planning under Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) of Singapore, as well as providing insights into business trends and technical challenges faced by Singapore-based companies. Recently, he is appointed by National Research Foundation (NRF) under Prime Minister Office, as Member of Proof-of-Concept (POC) Panelists for evaluating various proposed projects submitted to NRF POC Grant Calls. All these voluntary works and contributions are the way of giving back to my country, society, and scientific communities around the world.
